Can someone please tell me what on earth this has to do with showjumping?

I'm going to the Chester Master's showjumping this weekend, just Googled it to find out the start times... guess what I found?

I'm fuming, I'm just so angry. I can't even express hopw angry I am with words, I'm just making a lot of stupid noises at the moment!
How is this promoting the sport - and to whom? Is that suppossed to encourage kids to take up showjumping? I'm bloody speechless

In my blind rage I didn't notice this article was from 2008! I'm still angry about it though, just a bit late to express my anger!

I know it's two years too late to complain, but now I've calmed down I really am curious as to whom this is aimed at. Surely this is not something that would appeal to young girls: "take up horse-riding and you too could be rolling around in the hay in your knickers". It doesn't make sense on any level. Very depressing to read it was a woman's idea as well. Ah well...

well it was the in thing a year or two ago, wasn't it - like, everyone was getting their kit off for a charity calendar. You can see how somebody stupid might have thought it was a good idea.
