.... it has now appeared in The F-Word, here

(I got the original thread deleted and have namechanged for this post so as not to blow my anonymity on here.)

thank to everyone who encouraged me, hope you like it

Thanks for writing the article - interesting reading. It looks like you already got a mention in the "mumsnet feminists, you got a shout out on the f word" thread.

Have you got any more articles in the pipeline?

thanks all.
I would love to write something else feminist but don't have any ideas. Must ponder. It's not like there isn't a lot that needs to be said....

did you try the fortean times too? i liked it alot - seems the sort of thing they'd publish too

scurryfunge · 27/06/2010 21:02

Love the article...remember the original thread....it makes good reading , thank you.

wastingaway · 27/06/2010 23:19

Fantastic, well done.

MaryAndreaGermaine · 28/06/2010 18:18

thank you everyone

SEA did you see you were in the acknowledgements?

I didn't try the Fortean Times, though it was an appealing idea - just because I don't have much free time (3 dcs under 5) so I wanted to get it done as quickly as possible and I thought the F Word would be easier than the Fortean Times.

Hey well done, MAG, that was a great read! Thanks for the shout out as well (unless there's another E&M that I don't know about, in which case )

What about reanalysing something like a bible story, or a fairy tale, or some other well known story. We could all help?

MaryAndreaGermaine · 01/07/2010 17:03

Thanks Elephants! E&M was, of course, you
(I didn't want to use full talk nicknames without asking permission.)

anyway I've had 2 lovely & interesting comments from readers, which is really nice. One of them said some really interesting stuff about tv historians using old cliches about women characters in history which, when you look into it, are completely inappropriate. So definitely some scope there for further thought.
