NB Haven't read the article but saw this posted on facebook, and this is what they said about the IOC decision!

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced today that it will transition its stakeholder engagement model from a commission-based approach to a working group approach. This is a result of the ongoing Fit for the Future process and will enable more targeted engagement on key strategic priorities and policy development across the Olympic Movement.

They've actually ended 12 of these different "stakeholder engagement" groups in favour of working groups.

If it limits the power of self interested individuals and lobby groups to have an influence on sport - especially women's sport - that outweighs the rights of the majority then that's got to be a good thing.

Hopefully it's more small steps.
