I asked AI how they could call it a Women's Housing block post Supreme Court ruling an it said(!!) service providers could still opt to be trans inclusive as the ruling merely meant that biological women only was the default, but if appropriate could be trans inclusive. ie as a block of flats is not about shared intimate spaces such as toilets, changing rooms, it could be argued that single sex not necessary. (And as councils involved wouldn't be expected to be!)
ie back to the pre Supreme Court ruling that where "proportionate" women only could be single sex eg rape crisis and refuges.
So if this is a true interpretation of the act, then all those campaigning to reverse the Supreme Court ruling are campaigning for trans women to automatically be allowed in women's intimate spaces eg toilets, changing rooms.
Is this right?
