It's everywhere isn't it? I have no idea how we row back from this level of ingrained misogyny. The account has received multiple complaints but simply ignores them and continues on its merry way.

one of my dc’s friends was a junior sports champion. Some of the older boys had a “ones to watch” chat- and no it wasn’t in a talent sense, it was in a Charlotte church and the sun countdown sense…

massive sport that talks the safeguarding talk, but clearly doesn’t walk the walk. Nothing was ever done, some of those athletes are competing internationally now.

dc’s friend (female) gave up long ago, mainly because of the NGB attitude. Medals and money are what’s important.

University sports clubs have always had a grim sexist mentality. I was always amazed how many girls were prepared to give them the time of day. However, that was back in the mid-90s era of a burgeoning lad culture - I somehow imagined things had moved on, but perhaps not.

I agree - and yet we are told that the open-minded accepting freedom-loving egalitarian younger generation is going to bring in a Golden Age as soon as us aging rights-hoarding dinosaurs have died off...

They all used to be like this. Does anyone remember Unilad, which still exists? It’s cleaned up its act a bit since then and purports to have serious political discourse etc
