Women quit Green Party over ‘extraordinary instances of misogyny’: who'd have thought it?

Story in the Times about women quitting the Green Party.

I thought initially this must be about gender-critical women, but in fact it's about a motion at their conference that claims that women in the party are “sidelined, patronised, intimidated or treated with hostility by male colleagues” and goes on: “Women, non-binary people and trans people remain underrepresented in local, regional and national politics, and these experiences make it harder for marginalised genders to stand, serve and remain active.”

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I think the implication is "women". We are a marginalised gender, aren't we?

Is “marginalised genders” the new way of saying “non-men”?

The endless painful stupidity of people unable to join the dots is one of the most wearying aspects of this whole tiresome ideology

if you believe women is a performance any man can do which the greens do

then it follows that's you cannot define what a woman is

which means men performing woman are exactly the same as actual women (according to the Green)

which has huge impacts across all Green Party policy

tldr you can't defend what you cannot define

The bloke who brought the motion is no friend to the many gender critical women who have been suspended and expelled over the years (eg Emma Bateman and many other members of Green Party Women) as shown by the "women, non-binary and trans" bollox - as if men pretending to be women (and people who apparently can't decide whether they're men or women) can experience misogyny.

I'd support a decent anti-misogyny motion but I'm not impressed by this word salad.

I agree, the Greens are hyper-hysterical, they claim foul over every little thing, I'd be more impressed by their claims of misogyny if they actually knew what a woman was, which they don't.

So boo hoo to them.
