Can citizens take their government to court for passing bad laws?

I'm thinking, of course, of gender-woo laws, which destroy the rights of 51% of the population, and promote ill-health (both mental and physical).

You can bring a judicial review or laws in the uk and has resulted in several Scottish being revoked in the last decade

You can apply to the Administrative Court (England and Wales High Court or Scottish equivalent) for a declaration of incompatibility with the HRA/ECHR, appealable all the way up to the ECtHR. If the ECtHR grants the declaration, the UK government will...

....ignore it, like they did about prisoners' right to vote.

Still, I do like to muse about how one would go about it. I reckon Articles 3, 8, 9,10 and 11 could all be in play.

In the end only through the ballot box, any law can be repealed by a government. If a party campaigns on a platform to repeal a law gets in, they can strike it down but we can't hold the party who introduced the bad law in the first place legally responsible, unfortunately.
I do like the idea though, I have a list of grievances against this government and the last 10, I'd love to have a reckoning. 😂

No they can only sue if government bodies do not.implement laws correcty, like what happened in Scotland.

No you can take them to crt for a judicial review of new laws as was done in Scotland over the named person bill (it interfered with the right to a family life), the sectarian football chants bill and numerous others.
If a uk government creates a law that is discriminatory or breaches human rights laws then the people can take the government to crt and have the law struck down
