More importantly…. Was the TIM applauded and feted for his bravery in sharing himself? So stunning!!

Thank you to Dr A, it must take some real bravery and a lot of stress to stand up and fight for this travesty to be sorted out. I hope her actions will soon result in the wards being a safer place to be.

Glad there’s a share token and thanks OP. I saw this linked on Facebook earlier, and because it said, “bearded trans patient,” I couldn’t tell whether this was a sex realist doctor whistleblowing, or a transactivist doctor pretending it was a problem when a woman with a beard exposed herself on a psychiatric ward. Obviously the latter wouldn’t be a happy event either, but very different from a man doing it.

The fact that if a male patient wandered into a female unit it would result in a security investigation, but if he said his name was Janet he would be given a bed there, was absolutely shocking.

Wait, but this never happens, so this must be made up!

I've seen this story in a couple of places, but no direct comments from the managers defending this, only second-hand ones as here -

“He said that there had been a man with a beard and full male genitalia who had been exposing himself to female patients and they were unhappy. He said to me: ‘But what can you do about it?’” Dr A told The Times.

Has anyone else come across anything?
