For anyone in NZ - I just received an email from a group I subscribe to with a letter template to send to your MP, asking them to support the NZ First Bill to define Woman and Man. Giggle v Tickle was quoted, of course. It's likely having its first reading on Wednesday 20th May so not a lot of time.
Link to the bill (looks pretty straightforward to me)

Template letter:
Dear [MP’s Name],
As a constituent in [your electorate / New Zealander], I am writing to urge your strong support for Jenny Marcroft’s Legislation (Definitions of Woman and Man) Amendment Bill.
The Australian Giggle v Tickle ruling has shown exactly what happens when sex-based rights are eroded: women lose all legal ability to maintain single-sex spaces. We must prevent this complete erasure of women’s rights from happening in New Zealand.
Your vote is essential to:
- Get the Bill past first reading next week.
- Send it to Select Committee where it can be strengthened into comprehensive reform that properly defines “sex” in the Human Rights Act and fully protects women’s single-sex spaces, sports, and services.
I also ask that you support robust public submissions at Select Committee so the Bill becomes the strong law that New Zealand women and girls desperately need and deserve.
Please let me know your position on this important issue.
Thank you
