Well that was a horrifying read, I wonder if the fact that Iceland is such a small place has anything to do with how utterly it's captured. With state and church pimping for this ideology, it's not so surprising that it can shut down any objections, but I can't believe the average Icelander is on board with this crap, surely being a small place should be an advantage when it comes to getting things changed.

I love Julie Bindel’s writing and thought processes.

I think the opposite, small towns and villages it’s actually harder to go against the trend, small country will be the same

Smaller countries and ex colonies seem to be particularly prone to having to prove their anti establishment and/or 'progressive credentials'.

Thanks, OP. I had no idea it was so bad there. Really, really sinister. Thank goodness for the (mostly) women who fought so hard for our rights on TERF Island.

I heard an interview with (I think) Kristinsson a while ago and one of the things he was criticising was that because there are no private schools in Iceland and no home schooling, capturing education captures every child with no room for dissenting voices. But agree, small country, guilt at mistreatment of LGB citizens, a desire to be inclusive and they are very vulnerable to a small group of determined activists.
