Not Peter Mandelson this time, but Matthew Doyle, the Labour spin doctor recently elevated to the Lords, who is also in hot water for defending a sex offender.
If you're on TwiX, Gabriel Pogrund of the Sunday Times, who broke the story of Doyle and his energetic support for nonce ex-councillor Sean Morton all the way back in December, has been producing timelines showing all the points when Doyle's association with Morton should have been known about, and when No10 could have stepped in to stop Doyle being awarded a peerage.
This did not happen, apparently, because Doyle was not fully honest with Sir Keir Starmer, and Sir Keir is an ethical man who believes what people tell him, and Sir Keir trusted "the process".
Anyway, the folks at Guido have looked at their archive and it seems that, when Doyle was a senior Labour press officer in opposition, whose job was supposed to be leading on attack lines against the then Tory government, he was taking time out to brief against Rosie Duffield.
It's been good to see Labour grandes dames like Harriet Harman and Ayesha Hazarika speak out over the past few days. It would be better if the penny finally dropped with them about all the men in the Labour Party who are extremely keen to get rid of women's ability to insist on their boundaries.
