I haven’t read this publication before but I found this a really powerful story.

Wow. Such a powerful piece of writing. Good grief this ideology corrupts everything it touches, doesn’t it?

The Frontline Substack seems to be edited by Susan Dalgety and Lucy Hunter Blackburn, the editors of Women Who Wouldn’t Wheesht. Thank you for the link - looks like there’s lots more impressive writing there too.

Thanks for link, have saved for later.

Isn't Lucy Hunter Blackburn also part of

Thanks for the link, what a shocking betray of women by women in positions of power in academia. Such a clear account of how they've succeeded in erasing women with their doctrine. ‘gendered bodies,’ and ‘interpersonal violence,’ all to placate men who claim their women.

"The academy had lost a scholar, but the movement had kept its elder. She had held the line."

She did indeed, and well done her, a true shero, I wish her all the success in the world, she's too good for that waste of space academia any way, I didn't see what the title of her book was, has it been published in the UK?

Forgot to say Gender Studies has got to go, and all those who teach it put on latrine duty for 1000 years. 🤬

Edited

We used to have a word for a 'shero' a female hero. I remember being told it was sexist to use it and that we should stop. Is it time to resurrect 'heroine' and give women back another name that has been taken away?
Meanwhile, the story is horrific. Women betraying women in the name of placating men. Disgusting, and they are mad.

Substack is full of GC women. Worth exploring.

Lots of things highlighted in this situation, the first is how courageous Fezikile is. And to be honest any woman who has to live in that social environment.
Wtf is "gendered studies" is it not just sociology. We all live in society, so it would make more sense to add whatever trans angle you want to sociology instead of removing the very particular intent of studying "women's studies". Or start a "trans studies" course.
I didn't know SA was the rape capital of the world, what an horrendous claim to fame that is. Is it because of the lack of laws? The inability or unwillingness to go to the authorities because of negative responses from family and friends as well as the police force?

Bumping. This worth more people seeing what happens when gender ideology grabs the universities.
