Just another 'it never happens, except it really does' incident. US based case which has also been picked up by the Mail over here.

Originally reported in OregonLive:

"Prominent Portland chef Luna Contreras was arrested last month on accusations of domestic violence, harassment and unlawfully using a stun gun, according to court documents filed in Multnomah County.

The charges stem from an incident culminating early on Friday, Dec. 19, when Contreras allegedly went to a Southeast Portland apartment belonging to an “intimate partner of two months” to hang out, according to a probable cause affidavit. The woman told investigators that Contreras was “intoxicated” and began “grabbing and touching” her “aggressively” after she arrived.

In addition to the pushing, the partner told police that “Contreras put her hands around her neck” and “threw a glass liquor bottle at her” but didn’t injure her.

Two building security guards responded to reports of fighting at the building as the woman was pushing Contreras out of the apartment, according to the affidavit. After one of the guards grabbed Contreras, they told police, she pulled out a stun gun and attempted to use it on the other guard’s leg but missed.

Contreras was arrested later in the morning, just before 4 a.m."

Well I hope he gets sentenced and sent to a male prison. I’d really like to see accurate statistics on this because, by my reckoning, these mentally disturbed and entitled men are disproportionately likely to resort to violence.

Yes, often very neurotic, narcissitic and more than slightly unhinged.

It's possible the woman he attacked was another TiM. Regardless, what a horrible experience.

ProfessorBinturong · 08/01/2026 17:40

By 'stun gun' I really hope they mean 'tazer' rather than an actual stun (abbatoir bolt) gun. Bad enough as described, but that would be attempted murder.

Ah, yes - having read the article it was a taser.

I don't think it matters who the victim was.
