That's interesting that the BBC are critical of the Scottish government. The current ongoing court case about the former First Minister's Humza Youssof's brother in law has been completely ignored by BBC Scotland. It's been covered by Sky News, Telegraph and other high profile news agencies, so why not BBC Scotland? Happy to apologise if anyone can prove me wrong.

There have been allegations about the Scottish Government making a large donation to Gaza very shortly before the first minister (then Yousaf)'s parents in law were allowed out of Gaza.

The first minister was responding to a report that claimed he may have had a conflict of interest.

This is not news to any of us who live here. Bunch of absolute fannies.

Hoardasurass · 07/12/2025 13:10

That article is being very kind to the snp as it ignores some of their biggest fuck ups with law making, they dont even mention any of the dozen or so bills that were stopped with section 33 orders (outwith their relm of the Scottish parliaments ability to make law) or the GRR which was a section 35 breach or the bills like the sectarian football chant that was repealed. I could go on for ages about the poorly written and/or thought through laws that have come from that place since Stergeon and her cronies to power.
As I said the BBC have gone really easy on them over this.

ArabellaSaurus · 07/12/2025 13:24

There is also the view that Holyrood is a job creation scheme for inadequate politicians. As such, by footering about endlessly with pointless/stupid laws that nobody wants, it is working just as intended, and where else could some of these people get a salary of 80k per annum and a lovely pension, thank you very much?

Although the SNP is obviously not responsible it is all the fault of Westminster.

I remember that happening, it would take a hell of a lot of evidence to convince me that £250,000 didn't pay for his extended family members to get out of Gaza.

Add it to the list of things that should be investigated, but won't be.

The Scottish government are a fucking embarrassment. Such an appalling load of fuckwits constantly wasting our money.

Yes, and planning to spend money defending placing males in women's prisons. Good grief. (They could ditch that and give FWS the money they owe them instead).

It is a wicked Machiavellian plot to cause the Scots Nationalist movement to become completely discredited!
