I think some of the subtitles are wrong by the way - I started to type more about "sister women", but I think that's not what he actually said. He's mumbling somewhat - maybe deliberately...

I just read the DM article - where the subtitles have "women and sister women", the DM has "women and cisgender women are brutalized in this country". Is he actually saying "women and cisgender women" rather than, say, "women and transwomen"? Are trans women now the default women?

Yes, he said "women and cisgender women." A troll on another thread here said the same thing recently. I fumed when I saw that, but thought, oh well, it's just a troll on Mumsnet. But now I see a politician saying the same thing?!! Livid. 😡It must be their new agreed upon terminology. I bet they think saying women and transwomen is transphobic because it implies transwomen aren't women. So I guess the answer is to completely shit on and discount half the human race. As it usually is. 😡
