Bethany Hutchison, you are an icon

I want to dedicate this thread to Bethany Hutchison, the lead 'Darlington Nurses' Claimant and her most iconic comeback I read in a long time:

"Mr Cheetham suggested that the nurses' use of the media interviews in which their trans colleague was named 'violated' Henderson's privacy.

Ms Hutchison replied: 'He [referring to Henderson] has violated my privacy and (that of) the women in that changing room and he has done that since 2019."

Bethany - if you are on here and reading this, your witness evidence in cross-examination was exceptional and I really mean it when I say it, you are ICONIC for standing firm and strong.

Full support to you and all the Darlington Claimants, kudos to you, ladies! Fully behind you 👏🙌👌

A good fight well fought, thank you for doing this as it took a lot of courage in this climate.

I haven't been able to follow the case but I'm glad she's doing so well. I can't understand why NHS Durham and Darlington are defending it. After the Supreme Court saying women are women, and even Fife introducing single sex facilities, what is there to argue about??

Nobody has to risk their personal assets or seening how captured the NHS is their personal reputation.

Remember the public pick up the bill for the case and for any fines and for providing special mixed sex spaces and the disruption to staff moral and the staff who must write new lawful policy.

Thank you, Bethany. You were brilliant.

Thank you to everyone who brought the case. You've done so much for women.

Also, Bethany, if you're reading this, as it stands my OP has 31 reactions which only I can see, but let me tell you the support is there not just in the comments 💐

Doubled to 62, Bethany & team 💐

She came over so well in the interviews. All of these women have been fantastic in persisting and insisting on their right to privacy from random men.

Women and girls are safer because of their actions Flowers

BastardtheCat · 16/01/2026 18:58

She is a beacon of hope and truth 🙌

CatAsstrophe · 16/01/2026 19:04

Congratulations Bethany and Co. Brilliant news!

Reality prevails 💚💜

It was bracing watching Bethany speak so clearly and matter of factly on that C4 interview. She spoke like any of us would have done publicly before this ideological rot took hold, truthfully and unambiguously. But how we struggle to do with the spectre of cancel culture looming over all of us for wrong speak.
Because it's so vanishingly rare to see it in public in the last 10-15 years, her brave words have even more potency.
A genuine example of speaking (absolute) truth to power(ful elites).
It's mind melting that expressing the common sense scientific truth/fact that a transwoman is a man is today an absolutely revolutionary act.
I can only think that back in the day when women said they deserved the vote as men already had is analogous to the gender critical struggle for women's rights today.
If this madness of crowds era is pulled around to sanity, Bethany's words will be looked back on as truly resonant.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/01/2026 12:41

It really is a revolutionary act and they are RAGING about it.

DustyWindowsills · 17/01/2026 12:47

Fantastic result! 💪🏼

I'm off to do a bit of gardening. 🌷🌷🌷

I agree. What a sad state of affairs that it has come to this, so much delusion that hearing the truth in public has become unusual!

Not anymore though. I also think Bethany is a very good speaker in general and she'd be great in other roles supporting women, not necessarily in nursing working for an employer with no respect for her or her colleagues, some particularly vulnerable. Disgusting to the core.

82 now, ladies. We will not be silenced! 💐

Oh I love that C4 focused on how "Rose" felt, what about the feelings of numerous nurses who had to put up with being exposed to a man in their changing room? Ffs, change that sick focus finally.

The interviewer largely wants to talk about Rose's hurt feelings and how poor Rose will cope in the future and doesn't seem as interested in the plight of the female nurses 🙄

Precisely. A woman to a woman.

We all need to get a grip and stand up for ourselves and for each other instead of spreading ourselves like margarine to allow abusive men, including sick ideologists, to slide faster and better on our backs. Women who don't stand up for other women disgust me.
