Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Only 2 courses hmm. I note that there no mention of their internal policies on staff using the wrong facilities for their sex either

Perhaps top bods and DEI people at the BBC should read the newest version of the Bench Book. It goes through the legal omplications of the Supreme Court ruling in clear language.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 12/10/2025 14:06

The State broadcaster yet again displaying their bias. Both the judgment and the EHRC are clear - this is the law and should be fully implemented. But the supposedly impartial BBC are yet again following transactivist demands and failing to accurately report the facts along with issuing inaccurate "statements" that demonstrate their bias .

And then they expect us to accept that the rest of their reporting is impartial & accurate. I despair.

That’s the problem with the BBC now, isn’t it @MrsOvertonsWindow. They’ve been proven to lie so often and so obviously about these matters that they’ve lost all credibility and cannot be trusted on any subject. It’s been many years since I complained about one of their news articles which lied about someone’s sex, and they complacently replied that in their opinion they’re impartial and widely trusted.

BBC ‘pauses’ transgender diversity training after Supreme Court ruling

We fully intend to comply with the law once guidance has been approved by Government

and not a moment before 🙄 (my underline)

WallaceinAnderland · 12/10/2025 16:11

I honestly think all these institutions are just waiting for the 'updated guidance' so that they can just follow the law like they really want to. They can wring their hands performatively to appease the loud and shouty mob but secretly they are delighted.

borntobequiet · 12/10/2025 16:20

About time.

So true.
I complained about a report that stated gender identity was a protected characteristic. I got a "nothing we can do" response.
The idea of instructing journalists that they must accurately report the law was evidently beyond them. 🙄

I used to value the BBC until this shitshow started. Then I saw how easy it was for a group of anti social, queer theory activists to not only influence and silence their mainstream reporting but also to use the BBC's once legendary children's output to promote an adult ideology often involving sexual fetish.

I'd defund them in an instant (and I never thought I'd say that about a once respected broadcaster).

Ditto!!

They are worse than useless and don’t even try to establish the facts.

With regret, I would support partially defunding them with a view to stripping out the extraneous nonsense and refocusing on the truth.
