Very true Arabella. A good reminder, I too am very careful when a horrific event has happened. It can be so overwhelming and you cannot filter out the repetitive photos and videos.

But like you, I find the benefits are worth it. It is very sad that we have to fact check so much for ourselves these days. Then again, it does mean wider reading for greater depth of understanding.

Adjusting your Twitter settings to not autoplay videos is crucial for same reason.

• Settings and Privacy > Accessibility, display and languages > Data usage > Video autoplay > Select Never

And like others I'm here because I've just watched that speech by Faika El-Nagashi. What an incredible, succint summary. Feels like a line drawn in the sand, with a gauntlet tossed down on it for good measure!

Twitter remains the best place to be able to watch lots of viewpoints without interacting.

That speech by Falka is wonderful and I retweeted it.

I've just had a good look at their website and am encouraged to see a great range of skillsets and quite a few younger people in the expert network. Have just signed up for monthly donation.

We need to do everything we can to elevate the voices of European sex realists.

I just came across an announcement of Athena at QueerNations.de (a gender-critical old-style queer magazine). Came her to see if someone had already mentioned it. I see I am somewhat the laggard 😁. I'll sign up to Athena and hope for the best (German initiatives could really do with some help!).
