I like the fact that the headline picture for this article is of the women's game, that women and girls are specifically mentioned, and that the benefits to the female players are mentioned. Male players are not mentioned at all, despite the club having teams for both sexes, and everybody benefiting from the improvements. The female players had third class facilities before the refurb/rebuild, and that is what has changed. So, quite rightly, they have been centred in the article.

I'm not a sport lover at all but I'm glad women's sport is getting the attention it deserves.
I can't see it ever reaching the heady heights of men's sport, but it's great to see it featured on TV and sportswomen receiving the respect they should have had all along.

Not a sports fan, but have been sent some Reels on Facebook. Those women at the world event are not holding back are they? The Fly Half Ellis Kildunne is fast.
They should be supported as much as the mens game.

i don’t know anything about rugby but enjoyed The Reunion on R4 just now, some of the people (mostly women, obv) who were women’s rugby World Cup pioneers. The lack of support/downright hostility of the bodies running men’s rugby is - I was going to say astonishing but that’s the wrong word.

Good to see support for women’s sports. It’s been growing steadily over the past few years and it’s about time!
