Children in care allowed to transition without adult advice

Children in care are being allowed to transition without consulting an adult, a think tank has disclosed.

Policy Exchange claims that children are at risk of being rushed into gender reassignment because local authorities up and down the country are in thrall to gender ideology.

A study by the think tank found almost two-thirds of local authorities have no safeguarding policies in place to protect children in their care who question their gender, and eight councils allowed children to transition without speaking to an adult.

Children in care were eight times as likely as those growing up with their parents to be sent to the discredited Tavistock gender identity clinic, the report disclosed.

Julie Bindel has very strong opinions on the subject. “What do all the children from this cohort have in common? A social worker”.

Trans activists very excitedly targeted children in care from the outset of all this. Those responsible made no attempts to safeguard children from them and this is the dreadful outcome for these children - some of the most vulnerable in the country.

It's sad. They have no adult who cares enough.

I wonder if any of them will be held responsible for their decions? I hope they are individually sued in the future.

Of all the abusive men involved in all this, I'd love those who targeted children alienated from their families to be hauled up in front of the courts. Sadly I know it won't happen and they're no doubt ensconced in dodgy DEI roles at the taxpayers expense in the NHS, civil service etc, continuing their toxic grift.

This is absolutely horrendous. We need full accountability for all of this. What has been allowed to happen has been genuinely evil.

There’s also a more subtle reason for the disproportionate likelihood that children in care/suffering trauma etc choose to transition and that’s control. Children who have suffered severe trauma often attempt to control those around them, this tends to come out in play. They don’t feel safe and can’t control major aspects of their life so they try to control other things (this doesn’t make them popular with other kids). Being trans is the ultimate, magical form of control over others. If you’re trans everyone does what you demand for fear of being labelled transphobic. It’s easy to see the allure.

Quite. Which makes it reprehensible that supposedly qualified social workers, psychologists etc don't see that.

I suspect the other issue is that with kids in care, in many ways the person acting as guardian has very little room to make judgements according to their own ideas/intuitions etc. There are best practices and those are pretty clearly set out and mandated, and if you don't follow them you will not be long in the job.

I would imagine they are told that if a child claims to be trans they need to take him to the doctor and believe what the child says about himself. And then once the kid is in the medical pathway things move along of their own accord.

It's crazy that that is the "conservative" response to these kids in that system but they've been captured like so many others.

Yes. These children's lives in some ways are highly regulated and carers are required to comply with the LA's demands etc.
I expect down the line, when some of them realise how extensively they were failed by the State, more of them will make claims for compensation. They'll likely be successful as the complicity of adults in failing to safeguard them will be documented.
Shame it's not happening now as that's what's needed to shock some people out of their stupidity and political capture over all this.

In one of her YouTube discussions, Julie Bindel raises how a very depraved man, whose name escapes me, trained as a social worker. He rose through the ranks, ended up training social workers at university and eventually wrote the textbook that was/is used nationally.

Every social worker trained in the last x many years has been told to automatically affirm every child who ever mentions the subject.
