I know you will always advocate for women.

I follow her and she's great. Always measured and careful but consistent. She was deprived of gold in the 1980 Olympics when the eastern block women were all on steroids and has fought for women's rights in sport ever since.

I'm very pleased at this news - she's been extremely brave over the past years when everyone was bending over backwards to justify men taking part in women's sport.

She was outspoken and fearless - despite not having the financial resources of other heroines like JKR to provide security.

And as a usually Labour voter I can well understand her being a Tory peer - Labour failed miserably on this issue.

I’m very pleased to see a decent peer appointed.

Im also pleased about the former MP and MP candidates I heard of (on the grapevine) who are putting feelers out about peerages who didn’t get one.
