One thing I'm unclear about since the FWS win. Does the Equality Act apply to women in prison?

More to the point, can we expect the government to make sure prison policy says women's prisons are only for "biological women" to be incarcerated in, and must not include "certificated women" or any other male saying he's a woman? Does the Equality Act enforce this?

Yes, the Equality Act applies to women in prison. We may need to have a legal case to compel government to enforce it, however.

Yes they ruling does mean no males in female prisons. However as we can't get the Scottish government to even agree that it makes all their toilets and changing facilities rules illegal i suspect that it will take many more crt cases. There's a Scottish prisoner who's started the process of sueing the Scottish prison service over its trans policy
