Some women like this one really are amazing at endurance events!

Do read down to the last few paragraphs.

Wow. This menopausal woman achieving mightily, after Jasmine Paris and her breastfeeding amazingness... females are great!

I have done this distance.... in more than double the time 😂

ErrolTheDragon · 20/07/2025 21:03

Oh wow, that’s awesome too!

Thankyou, but my kind of plodding takes no skill, just bloody-mindedness. The average age of people doing the events I do is around 60 - with a handful >80!

But certainly everyone cannot do what Anna and Jasmine can do. Physical strength and stamina AND bloody-mindedness. Truly inspiring.

Loved her last paragraph. Loved that the article gave her the final word, and it wasn't about success, it was about the realities of her experience as a woman runner.

Agree with everyone - such an inspiring woman - and great that the organisers made the right resources available for women runners.
Well done Anna.

A friend of mine has just finished this race! Did it in more than double this ladies time. I’ve never even managed half that distance!

"Women are not just little men" - so right.

Absolutely brilliant. What a fantastic woman! So inspiring.

I've never been a runner, and have 2 replacement hips now, but if I were looking for something to infuse some energy and joie-de-vivre, I'd get my running shoes on and go out and blooming well START. I'm going to imagine myself doing that. Meanwhile, I'm building up my walking distance every day, and doing my physio.

Thank you Anna.
