At the Welsh Labour Conference this weekend GC women and lesbians were handing out various leaflets, including Labour LGB and Lesbian Labour ones. Jane Hutt, Chief Whip and Justice Secretary came and complained about the T being left off the Labour LGB leaflet and told us that there's no LGB without the T and that TWAW.
In a meeting, when she was asked about the SC ruling, Julie James MS, General Counsel for the government, said that Wales wasn't implementing it because they need guidance from the EHRC — and repeated that despite being told there's there's nothing new to implement, just the original law passed in 2010.
A representative of the Society of Labour Lawyers revealed that he and his colleagues are terrified to speak out about anything related to LGB rights because of social media pressure.
At a meeting to launch the new Charter for Women, all the speakers (Nia Griffiths MP, Jane Hutt MS, Julie Morgan MS, Joyce Watson MS, and Jo Galazka, Unite) were women who include men as women — and at question time they ignored GC women with their hands up and took questions they preferred from women who didn't challenge them.
Jo Galazka, Regional Women and Equalities Officer for Unite — who is a straight woman — told lesbians that transpeople threw the first stone at Stonewall, transpeople founded Stonewall here in the UK, TWAW and that lesbians had nothing to fear from selfID and didn't know what they were talking about.
This has to end. It makes Wales look like some amateurish little banana republic. Wales, and women in Wales in particular, deserve better than this bunch of brainwashed fools.
