Transwoman swimmer Anne Coombs in the news again

Anyone remember Anne? He got cross because a hotel gave him the key to a single changing room rather than the women's, when he wanted a swim. Then was found to be using the women's changing rooms, where girls were changing for a swimming competition, as a short cut to the pool while a judge at the competition.

Well now he's cross at not being allowed to swim in a women's swimming competition, so is swimming in the Open competition topless. Erm, like all the other men.

I'm afraid I'm not going to bother reading this. Why? Because it's the Reading Chronicle, the worst local paper in a sea of bad ones! And online it's even worse!

I remember grim-faced Anne being very keen to get a hotel employee sacked for taking a responsible attitude to the safety and comfort of female guests.

This story popped up on one of the clickbaity things that swamp my Facebook feed. The stock photo they chose to illustrate the story did not look like Anne.

Yes I’m sure everyone at that competition is going to look at Anne in his jammers and think he should be in the women’s competition instead 🙄

On the other hand it might help sufferers of gynecomastia feel more confident about swimming.

He said it would “out him as a woman who is transgender” were he to wear a women’s swimsuit in the open category. It may be news to Anne that wearing a women’s swimsuit in the women’s category would also out him. Oh, and he only came second in a women’s race in 2023 so he’s not ‘nicking places from other people’ 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

It's like the other topless protests that have been happening. These men want to be told to cover up as that would prove (in their minds) that people think they're women because men are allowed to be topless.

The article also describes Anne as 'fully transitioned'. Anne transitioned in covid, his full transition was buying a polyester skirt and a twin set.

Male swimmers aren't allowed to compete in a swimsuit with a top under FINA rules. If he really wanted to protest he should have worn a full-length suit and got himself disqualified.
How unsurprising that he choose not to.

The photo has fuzzed out the breasts but the body is quite obviously a male body so it all just looks ridiculous. If there was no fuzzing out then it would just look like a middle aged man with gynecomastia and no-one would bat an eyelid.

Not sure how they would apply these rules to the “open” category. I would say he has just made it clear he is male by going topless. If he wanted to present as female he should have worn a swimsuit.

Anyway, if he thinks the only reason he would be “outed” as trans is wearing a women’s costume in the “open” category, he is utterly deluded in thinking we can’t all see he is male. But this does seem to be common.

This is the man who repeatedly and unnecessarily wandered through the women's changing rooms where elite girl swimmers were naked and getting into their tight competition swim wear. So unacceptable was their behaviour that British Swimming - once completely captured by trans madness - immediately changed the rules to ban him (and any other "official") from "wandering through".

I’m a masters swimmer, and was hugely vocal on Anne walking needlessly through the girls changing room at the age group (children’s) National Champs in Pond's Forge in Sheffield in 2023. For those who don’t know, the compression suits females wear take about ten minutes of naked wriggling to shoe horn yourself in to, ponds forge only has communal areas.

Anyway. The phenomenal athlete that Anne is referring to as beating her is a world class masters athlete. Competed in the commonwealth games as a youngster.
the depths that this farce has descended to, to suggest that a fat, totally unfit elderly gentleman swimming recreational breaststroke getting beaten by an elite female athlete shows there’s no advantage. It is just farcicle.
