Are men still in women's prisons?

From what I can gather online there are still men who identify as trans being held in womens' prisons in the UK. I haven't seen any updates on this since the Supreme Court ruling - surely this is now in breach of UK law & the human rights act? Has anyone seen any updates or discussions?
My opinion is that all male prisoners should be repatriated to the male estate immediately, with no exceptions.

You are right but of course agencies are “awaiting” guidance” in other words, scratching their heads as to what to do.

I cannot fathom why they are waiting, the SC ruling was very clear.

There are already men who identify as women on separate wings in the male estate (the majority of trans identified male prisoners are in fact in the male estate, because they have been convicted of violence and or crimes of a sexual nature).

I’m really not sure why they require further guidance on this given that there is a system already in place 🤔

To be fair the prison service are going to have to create a separate spaces for them as they will likely be at risk from male prisoners who have whatever view they have.

So you know budge over comes to mind…..

The male prison estate has extensive experience of protecting vulnerable prisoners. They know what to do and have appropriate facilities. No excuse.

But no thought to separate spaces being needed in the womens Estate as they don't deserve protection from the men that are put in with them?

I dearly hope that some of the women locked up with these men are currently making arrangements to access funding from JKR’s women’s fighting fund and sue the arse off the Scottish government. It’s the only way things will change
