RIP Andrew Norfolk. I was so sad to read of his passing. He was a brilliant investigative journalist.

So very sad. I heard him very recently on R4 taking about how hard it was to do this “job”, which went on for years. What a hero he was.

Why is there a wall of silence from nearly everyone in positions of power or responsibility?

Thank you for this. He was evidently much respected at the Times and he courageously went where so many other journalists failed to go.

Well, even with that he made a great contribution to exposing a terrible scandal. What a shame large parts of the political Establishment have been tireless in pulling the covers back over it.

Yeah, cover-ups don't work. Instead of making people just shut up and go away, they make people lose trust in the system. As Labour is finding to its cost now.
