This podcast hosts some excellent guests with a wider range of views than is typical for this sector of podcasting and this is a particularly interesting chat with regard to the recent Supreme Court ruling.

Thank you for this. A very interesting discussion reflecting on some of the consequences of the SC ruling.

Glad you liked it. It’s so unusual to encounter a HR Director who can have a sensible, slogan-free and pragmatic conversation about this type of topic.

I particularly enjoyed his assessment that businesses should follow the law. It was refreshing to see a HR bigwig giving sensible advice.

Maya and Tanya also had excellent and helpful suggestions for businesses and line managers.

I watched this yesterday. I thought I'd just dip in and ended up watching the whole thing. Really good advice on how businesses can question how they'd got into such a mess and walk themselves out of it.

For all the “businesses should follow the law”, I still thought Seven Trent’s HoHR was still in the “be kind” mindset. MF saw that & rightfully commented that just this attitude led us down the path we’re only now trying to get off.

i’ve just finished the episode with KJK - interesting snippet from TdG re Barclays graduate event.

Thanks for posting this.

Yes I thought Maya challenged him very well on this.

Maya was excellent. Such a composed and clear public speaker.

I agree on how well she challenged Neil. He was good in a previous episode of the podcast so it was interesting to see how different he was in this one.

I hope that Tanya De Grunwald acquires the audience reach that her talent and guests merit.

Maya was sensible to point out to him that it’s not possible to square the circle on this issue: if HR is to follow the law it must say No to men who want access to women’s spaces and services. It did seem to make him uncomfortable to hear it said so plainly. But at the same time he’s at least willing to talk to Maya and Tanya, for current year that’s unusual for HR professionals.
