I post on this board but changed my name for this one.

The deputy leader of my local Labour Party not only tweeted in support of the SC judgement, but also wore an LGB alliance T-shirt to a full council meeting the day after the ruling. This article was clearly prompted by complaints from a Labour Party TRA and the tone reflects this, but a lot of people are in support of Cllr Rawlinson’s stance. Hooray!

Incidentally there is an illuminating image of the transwoman activist in the article.

Good on and thanks to Cllr Rawlinson, although he probably shouldn't have worn an LGBA t-shirt.

Your thread title rather overstates the case, going by the article. Nice to see a bit of support from a Labour local official, but that's more or less it.

I think women and LGB people who have had gender critical views are feeling more comfortable about letting their views be heard.

Yes I probably was overstating in my surprised state, but the fact that he is the deputy leader and is highly unlikely to be sanctioned gives me hope.

Regarding the T-shirt, I wonder how many in the chamber were wearing rainbow lanyards and pins.
