Based entirely on the transcripts of a dramatic five-day UK Charity Commission trial, the filmed production captures the intense legal battle between Mermaids, a trans youth advocacy group, and The LGB Alliance, a gay rights charity, that believes women are women and men are men and it is impossible to change one’s sex.

I just watched this in full. Well worth the watch - at times infuriating, hilarious and very moving at the end. I hope the names of these women who stepped up at great personal cost to protect women, lesbians and children are remembered for a very long time.

This is a brilliant concept - I don’t know if Tribunal tweets has funding, but I can see a financing model emerging, thanks to some truly riveting testimony in some of the trials they have covered. 😆

I watched it today, it was bittersweet watching it. It was so funny in places but I was in tears by the end though.

I'd forgotten just how bloody batshit the mermaids side were!

I am between cats at present, and not in the cosy sense of having one on each side leaning on me. But I could try to entice in the friendly robin, tuneful blackbirds 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ and endlessly chattering starlings who cluster round the bird-food in the garden while there’s no cat to stalk them. They can join in with the tribunal tweets.
