With a federal election just over a week away, women will exercise their right to speak about their sex based concerns on the steps of Victoria's Parliament.
Victoria and all the states have Self ID so there is no need for the Federal Gov't to thrust it upon the people.
In 2013 the Australian Gov't - Julia Guillard's - removed Sex from the Sex Discrimination Act and replaced it with 'gender'.
As a consequence, women lost the Tickle v Giggle verdict in the High Court and the lesbians lost the Lesbian Action Group v Australian Human Rights Commission (ffs!). Women, girls, lesbians, gay men, have no protection in law to freedom of association of their own kind because of that one word sleight of hand.
Its grim down under.
Victoria passed an anti-vilification bill just weeks ago and put it into effect immediately, allegedly because of the election. We women can read between the lines though.
The counterprotestors are expected. Thankfully the police have put a higher level of security in place than ever before. This is what it takes for women to freely associate and freely speak about the loss of our rights in law in this blasted town.
