Series about Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. Did Brady groom the whole family, Myra's sister and brother in law and Myra herself? How culpable was Myra?

I haven't seen it. I was always slightly sympathetic to her until I was at university. One of the girls in my circle had zero component of law in her studies and it was a hot news topic.

She told me that she'd also been sympathetic and had see her as a victim, until part of their course work had included Brady - Hindley and that they'd seen redacted transcripts.

It seems that she'd got offended hearing recordings of their victims as they'd tortured and murdered them and asked Brady to play them, whilst they had sex.

do you mean ‘offended’ @SinnerBoy or do you mean aroused?

SinnerBoy · 30/03/2025 08:01

Yes, sorry!

Is this quote an old production by ITV?

I think so. The back story is about the sister and brother-in-law who dobbed them in. The police appeared to be clueless.
