Thought this board might appreciate this - pronouns

I have to be vague here but as part of my job I’ve been reviewing some documents that are public and are also from a government body.

One of them is a a copy and paste of an email which looks to have been done in a rush. See below.

Anyway under the name of the person who sent the email from the government body it has pronouns.

Except it says “she/her why have I put this here” 😂

In my experience the 'why have I put this here' or 'why pronouns are important' has a link to a website (usually in the US) where they tell you a bit of the TRA gospel. I just tried the one my colleagues use and it says 'page not found'. Maybe it's been purged!

There wasn’t a link that I could see. If that was the intention then the message was severely lost !

As you say, if it was a copy and paste of another email the fact that the text is hyperlinked may not have carried over. I can imagine that looks amusing

The very top man in my section of the civil service has a “Find out why I am sharing my pronouns here” link. It leads to the a:gender website - “the support network for trans and intersex staff across government”.

So the highest member in my organization is advertising a support network for a tiny number of staff, every time he sends an email.

A:gender are awful.

My lot were using this link in the USA Page not found | LGBTQIA Resource Center I don't know whether it's just out of date or whether Donald Trump deleted it!
