Church and Children of Transitioners

Is anyone aware of this group? Are they doing a safeguarding campaign, or does being contacted mean there is a specific issue in a specific church?

That said, there are specific issues with gender ideology in CofE. And in specific churches.

Yes I agree. I have seen the website. all seems fine to me.

I’m asking because an email from them was received by someone, and I would like to know whether they are broadcast emailing or targeting specific people for a specific reason.

Perhaps where someone has approached them for support/they are aware of an issue.

I’m tangentially involved and want to understand whether I need to talk to someone further.

Sorry to be vague, but you know how it is! I spent a while wording an email carefully today.

Children of Transitioners are not a religious group- they are a grass roots peer support group for children of transitioners/ transpeople. If they have contacted a specific organisation or church it will likely be because there is a specific issue which has been raised by an individual cot member.
There is a talk available online from Genspect by the Cots founder outlining safeguarding issues and an article on their website from the government Gra Self id' consultation that gives further examples. Many well meaning people are clueless- the desire to 'be kind' doesn't work with safeguarding children!
