Notes an increase in incidents of girls being photographed in changing rooms, and a lack of single sex provision.

According to Prof Kathleen Stock, in 2018 the Times reported that there had been 134 complaints of sexual misconduct in council sports centres and swimming pool changing rooms the previous year.

These facts seem to be ignored by organisations, including local govt, rushing to instigate self-identification on the official means of entry into women-only spaces.

If, as we’ve known for some time, exposure is a predictor of more serious offences, this needs to be acknowledge, to protect not only women’s privacy and dignity but also their safety.

That's 134 cases of women going through a horrible experience completely unecassarily.
In the past papers like the Guardian and the Left wing press would be relied on to campaign and highlight these sort of cases but now they are the one's campagning against them- crazy times.

And we don’t know how many of these related to cameras, meaning many more victims. And I think that number only covered England, not the rest of the UK.

Just wanted to say this is horrible. At school we had to have special patrols in and around the girls' toilets and changing rooms because a camera was found. No one ever owned up and it has always been suspected that it was a cleaner rather than 1 of the boys, but I can remember how horrible it was to even consider that anyone had seen me using the toilet or worse.
For it to happen in public leisure centres is heartbreaking.

Despite VAWG being described as a global public health emergency, including the UK…

Somehow, women and girls don't need any attention or consideration of dignity, privacy, and bodily autonomy.

Ideology is a powerful drug, capable of hypnotising entire organisations and swathes of individuals. Ideology facilitates voyeurism and the abuse of others.

Gurwinder Bhogal: When intelligent people affiliate themselves to ideology, their intellect ceases to guard against wishful thinking, and instead begins to fortify it, causing them to inadvertently mastermind their own delusion, and to very cleverly become stupid.
