Found it! It was a sitcom called SOAP.

A transgender man is a woman who thinks she's a man. Not to be confused with a trans identified male, who's a man who thinks he's a woman.

Clear as mud.

I agree, but that thread a few weeks ago kept referring to the teenage male who thought he was a young woman as a 'transgender girl' as did the Daily Mail.

Actually, ChatGPT apologises for "misspeaking" when it's said utter nonsense, so not entirely in keeping with the posters we get round here.

We are going to have a very long fight on our hands when it comes to technology and it’s the one area I’m not confident we can ever win. Given the number of men who claim they are women, who are also tech nerds, who also seem to be permanently online, changing Wikipedia and training AI in gender gobbledygook, it’s likely to be an intractable problem.
