They have a mitochondrial mother (from the second enucleated egg, a father (from the second, normal, sperm), a gestational mother (the surrogate) and ... the new bit. The new bit is the dna from the first sperm, having been edited with Crispr so as to make it more 'egg-like' (plus I guess it must be an X sperm). There is no genetic mother. It sounds like a terrible idea.
ETA I suppose that, because of recombination in every generation, all of the first sperm's dna could ultimately be tracked back to a female ancestor at some remove. Still a terrible idea.
