"By the time I saw, inside the wooden belly, a unicorn plushie wearing a T-shirt advertising LGBT Youth Scotland, the controversy-dogged charity once run by a paedophile, I was questioning whether the exhibition might actually be a form of protest against the stealth operation to convince even the youngest of children that sex is merely “assigned” rather than fixed and that they might be happier, less anxious, more popular if they assumed a different gender identity, joined a waiting list for puberty-suppressing drugs and started saving up for surgery."

Trojan Unicorn?

Oh FGS. Could they not just stick with unicorns without bringing identity politics into it?

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 29/09/2024 14:43

Unicorns were known for being dangerous to everyone except virgin girls. Which surely made them both terfs and swerfs.

Did no one think to google Alok and his chat about little girls being kinky?

Why are they actively confusing children about their magical imaginary gender identity. What right do they have to indoctrinate kids who come to the museum into thinking they are something other than the biological sex they were born as? It's insane.

Also, Trojan Unicorn...

Let's face it, predatory men are using womanface to cover their actions. Just look at the recent news.

This exhibition might be interesting historically, just not for the reasons they think.

Surprised to see that article in The National; they usually bang to the SNP drum and SNP agenda. Ugh LGBTYS popping it's ugly head up again. So far two convicted paedophiles worked for that organisation (one being the CEO) and there are also allegations of further abuse. Still no investigation into them. What will it take?

Shona Craven (journalist who wrote the piece) peaked a good while ago eg this piece in the National from six years ago re the GRA reform bill.

Shona Craven has been consistently excellent on this - very considered, clear and insightful. Just sharing the link to The National as well so that the editors there can see interest in the topic from anyone clicking through to it. Even if you are hitting the paywall the click will still register and show that there is interest in the subject matter and this columnist. I’d considered going to this exhibition but clearly am not missing out on anything!

Was Perth Museum's unicorn exhibition all it appeared to be?

WE were promised enchantment when the fabulous new Perth Museum opened in the spring. It seemed fitting that its debut exhibition, Unicorn, would…
