I finally clicked on the promoted thread. Has anybody else weakened?

Not yet, but I clicked on this. Perhaps I'm crumbling?

I've resisted so far. Ironing is not a blissful affair in our house. In fact other than shirts and when going out I (gasp) just don't do it...

Mil judges me slightly and will iron when she's here babysitting and we are out but I hate it so much I just appreciate that she does it! Doesn't shame me at all (which I partly think is her motivation) 😂

I find ironing blissful!* However I have yet to see the promoted thread being pushed in my direction. I am most put out.

*I employ someone to do it!

Haven't seen the ad in question and I don't even own an iron. I clicked in the wildly improbable hope that the quote was from a LARPing man actually doing "women's work" as part of his fetish, but of course it wasn't. That's the thing that really never happens.

Haha, no, I wondered how an ad had trasmogrified into a thread!

I expected the thread to be zapped as not being in the spirit of the hunger for ad revenue.

My device has been set up to be ad-free (not by me so don't ask!), am I missing out?

If it's about steam generators, I've got one. Ironing with it is not so much blissful as slightly terrifying, and damp.

If it's about one of these surely the description should be 'hilarious'?
