Posted tweet below on X. Immediately got pushback. Says she doesn't necessarily agree with JKR, but she is still important.

From the way she doesn't define the disagreements I think Cornwell probably agrees with JKR on various things about women's safety and rights, but like many celebrities is scared to say so in public. That she is posting this in 2024 is interesting.

She’s also spoken about how policing language affects writers (which is a similar argument we have heard visual artists make).

Yes agree with your assessment. It's her subtle way of signalling agreement with JKR although not brave enough to explicitly say so.

Cornwall writes pretty uncompromisingly about male violence toward women. I imagine she agrees with a lot of what JKR says

I had a look at the same statement on her Facebook. A lot of people agreeing with her, but some banging on about JKR 'spreading hate', but is there a single example of it?

She's getting cancelled (by a handful) anyway. Interesting to see how that is a tiny few of apparent extremists.
