Fresh off Twitter, the latest development I the Bavarian women's gym case. There's no dedicated thread on it, so to re-cap, a balding TW named Laura who'd previously courted media attention after joining a women's football team had applied to join an exclusively women's gym, all while promising to only use the communal showers wearing Speedos, honest Miss. Got turned down. Lawyered up and simultaneously complained to Germany's Green Party anti-discrimination ombudsman who promptly suggested the studio pay compensation.
His legal beagles have now achieved a verdict against the right-wing online publication that first broke the story and in doing so, called "Laura" a "man." That, says the court, was inadmissible as he's in possession of a GRC and hence, the publication violated his human dignity as a person ("Persönlichkeitsrecht.") The publication, it says, also overstepped in using "Laura's" female name and initial (never mind he'd previously used the full first name-surname both for newspaper interviews o his football exploits and for a one-star Google review criticizing the gym as transphobic.) Keep in mind this is NOT under the new anti-doxxing law which only comes into force from November. https://www.lto.de/recht/nachrichten/n/lg-frankfurt-203o27524-trans-frau-fitnessstudio-nius-reichelt
A women's organization, Frauenheldinnen, are also close to being sued in the same matter - they're currently crowdfunding on Twitter.
