If the government is serious about tackling male violence, we are going to need to talk about the police.

At least he's been locked up - albeit for a derisory sentence. I've read a number of threads on here from women in abusive relationships with police officers and their despair that they're never believed as his mates close ranks and protect him.

It's wretched and there is no sign of a useful cultural shift to root this out and create a new structure.

I don't know how true it is, but a long time ago I read somewhere that police officers where one of the most likely people to commit DV.

He started young

He has spent his whole life as an adult abusing women.

Yes, I imagine there's a very low chance of him ever changing.

He started at 17 and that's on the official figures.

At least he will no longer be a Police officer on his release.
