Did anyone else prick up their ears at the intro to this news piece on the horrific infected blood scandal and experimentation done on kids with haemophilia some of whom died?
It was all about the horror of having your life ruined by a health service failure and possibly not being able to have children and having your life and relationships dominated by it etc - it was so obviously comparable to puberty blockers and transitioning kids that I wondered if it was actually deliberately written that way by someone at the BBC flying under the radar.
Even if not the comparison is obvious, and I thought this is exactly what the news will be saying about thousands of people who will need compensation in the future for being experimented on with harmful treatments that ruined their lives.
Why doesn’t the NHS (as a body) learn?
