I'm looking for any guidance on responding, and getting a bit muddled. I think some of this guidance was for the consultation before the latest version was out?

If anyone can point to any more recent guidance that would be appreciated.

I wasn't able to find any guidance when I looked.
But luckily it was really easy to complete the consultation document as it's very clearly laid out. The only time you need to toggle across to the draft guidance to answer something specific is during the questions on gender identity belief. At this point you'll need to read the wording to see if you agree with it. For all of the other questions, everything you need is contained within the question list.

As a bonus, it asks two well-worded questions about sex and gender identity. There is one question about sex and a separate about gender identity, including the option to state that gender identity is not relevant to you. Unlike the Gender Questioning Children guidance, which simply asked "what is your gender identity?" without asking about sex at all 🤦‍♀️

MsGoodenough · 11/07/2024 11:17

Great, thanks.

Transgender trend are reminding people the deadline is today, and saying if you have little time, go straight to questions 22 and 23.

It is very much still worth just answering those two, for those who don’t have time to do the whole thing. Our new government needs to see how much pushback they are going to get, if they put gender ideology back into schools.

Manderleyagain · 11/07/2024 17:36

This doesn't have to take long. I have done it today. If you are thinking about it go ahead!

ArabellaScott · 11/07/2024 19:25

Right. Girding my loins.

JuneFTW · 11/07/2024 19:38

Agree, it didn't take long and well worth doing!

ArabellaScott · 11/07/2024 19:40

Done!

Quick and most of it can be done multiple choice. I found most of their changes/recommendations sensible and clear, so there wasn't all that much to add.

Go on, wims, you've got a few hours yet!

mzdemeanour · 11/07/2024 21:00

Done although just ticked the boxes as short of time. Let's keep fighting the twaddle!

Leafstamp · 11/07/2024 21:07

Done!

I didn’t answer all the questions but majored on the section about Gender Reassignment.

This exercises just remind yet again how stupid and harmful the idea of having a gender identity is.

How on earth teachers will navigate this without resorting to stereotypes is beyond me.
