David TC Davies in Monmouth - I've not heard much of him lately, but he was brave & then persecuted in earlier days in this fight.

Oh God, how awful that I can't think of others! I do agree with your list, OP.

Rees-Mogg is my no.1. TO GO! (obvs)

I just realized I misread the title...

VeryQuaintIrene · 03/07/2024 11:04

oops - misread the thread, sorry!!!

Diane Abbott - how she has been treated is appalling.

I read that Joanna Cherry is one of the few SNP who might keep her seat.

Rosie Duffield has a good chance of retaining hers despite the attacks because it would be inline with national polling.

Kemi Badenoch has a large majority but there is a chance it won't be enough plus her constituency seems to have an issue with postal votes not arriving.

I think Miriam Cates will probably lose hers. She had a very small majority last time.

Miriam Cates is awful.

She's anti abortion. And she blames the low birth rate on women "spending too much time and money on education" which makes it harder to "decide when to pause and have children."
Damn these educated women not having babies!

She doesn't apply this to herself of course, she went to Cambridge (and I'd imagine she aspires to similar for her children). It's other women who are going to higher education in too high numbers.

Ah, the Minster for 18 Century Snobbery and Religious Bigotry. Do you think his nanny would cry, if he lost his seat?

MrsSkylerWhite · 03/07/2024 11:22

Why the hell would you want Cates and Badenoch to retain their seats? Awful people.

OvaHere · 03/07/2024 11:22

Thanks @woman2womanmeetswomanparrish I think all those are likely to be mostly accurate.

I hope Joanna Cherry's seat turns out to be within the margin of error and she hangs on.

Cates doesn't stand a chance looking at that.

OvaHere · 03/07/2024 11:24

An increased majority will be good for Rosie Duffield's standing. She had quite a slim one in 2019 IIRC.

RoyalCorgi · 03/07/2024 13:55

Rosie Duffield, obviously. Tonia Antoniazzi, one of the very few Labour MPs aside from Rosie to stand up for women's rights. Kemi Badenoch. Neale Hanvey. Joanna Cherry. Can't think of many others.
