How can so many people still be in the thrall of Farage and Reform UK when harldy a day goes by without another horrifying story about Farage emerges. Now he's telling us that Andrew Tate is an important voice for men. Tate is a vile representation of the human race. who glorifies hitting and choking women. Why would any woman vote for Reform UK?

Farage said Andrew Tate was ‘important voice’ for men in podcast interview

Reform UK leader has also argued against diversity quotas and said people on benefits were ‘too stupid’ to work in appearances over past year

Of dear Lord. He's obviously got a horribly warped idea of what 'masculinity' entails, along with all his other damaging idiocies.
He's always had a lot of rank misogynists among his followers, afaik.

QueenBitch666 · 25/06/2024 00:47

Just when I thought fox hunting farage couldn't be any more repugnant. Fucking cretin 😡

Evil pieces of shit do tend to like other evil pieces of shit. Not being from the UK, I don't know that much about Farage, but with this tidbit and knowing he is a right wing populist, I know enough now to say that he is most likely a sociopath and that nobody should vote for his rancid party.

MrsWhattery · 25/06/2024 01:04

Oh he's just taking the piss now surely. I think he's trying to see how outrageous he can be to wind people up and he doesn't actually want to be an PM.

Unfortunately loads of people will love it a la Trump and Nige will be our next PM.

TempestTost · 25/06/2024 01:06

I think I might like to see the whole interview without the Guardian quoting bits and pieces.

It seems that to some extent he's talking about why he thinks Tate resonated with so many young men, and I am not convinced the GUardian isn't parsing his statements to make them look worse than they are. And it seems pretty clear he doesn't think he's overall a great example or role model.

The problem I suppose is that I don't trust the Guardian. I remember a few years ago the complete hatchet job they did on Jordan Peterson, and they haven't exactly been a great example of honesty in general lately.

Shortfatsuit · 25/06/2024 01:13

So he is a raging misogynist as well as a racist. Quelle surprise.

Did they slam Peterson? If so, I might be interested in a subscription.
Hate that guy. Hate.

bettytaghetti · 25/06/2024 01:43

My DS put it very well the other day and said what a sliding doors moment it was for the UK when Farage survived that plane crash.

I can't believe after all the bullshit he spouted over Brexit, and the whole country can now see for themselves what a shitshow that proved to be, that anyone in their right mind would believe anything that comes out from his mouth ever again and vote for him. 😫

I think jp is far more insidious and dangerous than tate because he dresses it up in pretty lingo. but basically two sides of the same coin.

I do think tate is an important voice for men, he helps us identify the wankers from the decent guys. a man's opinion of andrew tate, gives a very easy litmus test of acceptability.

Pure truth.

Creamcakes99 · 25/06/2024 05:35

You need to read what he actually said before believing everything printed in the guardian
get educated

Creamcakes99 · 25/06/2024 05:38

I don’t think he’s a good example to young men but his messages about working hard, avoiding drugs, training and not letting ppl take advantage of you are very important to developing boys

malachitegreen · 25/06/2024 05:40

He thinks violent, misogynistic thugs need a bit more confidence in school? They certainly need input in school, but not because of lack of confidence

Creamcakes99 · 25/06/2024 05:40

I’m voting for him.
I’m fed up of the current situation and Kier offers no interesting / creative alternative

Creamcakes99 · 25/06/2024 05:43

anything printed in the Guardian / Independent / Mail etc is absolute nonsense publish to trigger ppl and without giving you the whole story.
careful what you believe and do your homework on these subjects - what’s the agenda?

Snooglequack · 25/06/2024 05:45

He just says anything to get more news time. I doubt he even knows who Andrew Tate is. Someone has told him he's controversial and divisive so he bleeds off it.

Creamcakes99 · 25/06/2024 05:48

You are making some flippant statements here. Can you explain exactly how you know that Nigel has no idea who Andrew is pls?

Plenty of sports men and other men in the media do that.

Which of Reform's policies attract you the most?

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 06:11

Aside the sex trafficking, he groomed young men via the internet and took their money. He only ever cared about himself. He used reality tv to become a bit well known and then used the message and those young men who began worshipping him as a front for his trafficking and abusing empire.

Anyone can spout the message he did.

Tate's only admirable feature (a phrase I struggle with) is that he recognised how stupid and gullible many people are to propaganda techniques (hence joining in the dramatic conspiracy theory bs) and used everyone to his advantage.

Anyway he who put a like on anything he said on Twitter or said things like "oh what he says is good though" has succumbed to the manipulations of an abusive selfish narcissist.

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 06:14

Work hard, be productive, earn your own money

WTF! That was his main manipulation tag line. Earn your money like I do. Give me your money while I tell you how.

PandoraSox · 25/06/2024 06:11

Which of Reform's policies attract you the most?

job seekers allowance
students bringing families over
net zero immigration on non essentials
stamp duty threshold
nhs funding and social care (latter is a biggie)

While offering himself up as an example? He's a pimp and an "influencer" who got to be in that significantly less than exhalted position based on shock value. That's supposed to be hard work?
He's also an alcoholic, albeit one who claims to be sober for a few years now, so he's hardly a valid example of substance abuse avoidance either. Also, it's pretty obvious to people in his sport that he has used anabolic steroids. They accused him and he lied about it in a manner that it was so over the top it clearly was not remotely true.
That creep is a hypocrite in addition to being a monstrous waste of flesh.
Do you really want young men to take his rancid advice? There are infinitely better sources.
