How can so many people still be in the thrall of Farage and Reform UK when harldy a day goes by without another horrifying story about Farage emerges. Now he's telling us that Andrew Tate is an important voice for men. Tate is a vile representation of the human race. who glorifies hitting and choking women. Why would any woman vote for Reform UK?

Farage said Andrew Tate was ‘important voice’ for men in podcast interview

Reform UK leader has also argued against diversity quotas and said people on benefits were ‘too stupid’ to work in appearances over past year

Why do people here believe young men follow him in such high numbers?

Because we've got eyes and ears and the brainpower to process the input from those senses and draw conclusions.

He has not been accused of rape

He most certainly has been accused of rapes, by a Romanian magistrate.

He has been accused of trafficking because he set women up and managed them on Only Fans

All the women victims said the same thing, they were kept captive and forced to have sex with loads of men, which in most people's worlds is rape.

I feel sorry for you, that you don't understand that and see fit to defend a stain on humanity.

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 07:04

Since when was trafficking a suitable career for your child to consider?

Fairly sure I've never seen an only fans table at the careers day.

What was his exact message to young men about women? How to behave with them? Facts please. Educate me

He captured many. Including some on this thread.

Who knew FWR channeled misogyny?!

Tate was did capture so many young men because there is definitely an issue for young men wrt role models and online media. He spotted that. And knew the best way to hook them in to be used by him.

If he was as great as you think, he'd have campaigned for young men in an entirely different way.

I really don’t think that’s true

It would be better if it were true, but from what I’ve seen there aren’t any accounts in the court proceedings that are saying anything like that

KarenOH · 25/06/2024 07:04

Disgusting pair of specimens. Quite alarming to see so many young people declaring that they will vote Reform at all tbh.

What question? You're not making sense.

Of course I don't watch him. I don't stick pins in my eyeballs either. And...?

I didn't say I, personally, have evidence of steroid use. I said he has been accused by others in his sport, who are in a position to know.
Oh, I should be "careful?" Why? Is somebody going to do something to me?

Tell us you're an acolyte who has been sucked in by a con artist without telling us...bla bla. You get the idea.

So you are outraged by a person you’ve never watched / list-ended to.
sounds like an intelligent move

Many people do this.

The more lies you say about him, the more the young men flock to him, and the more he’s proved ‘right’ that the matrix, which would include the guardian, are not to be trusted

If you had a young male adult child and started saying all this to him, I guarantee you it would make him think you had no idea about Tate at all and would almost certainly not trust your opinion on him

if you’ve never watched him at source, first hand, you really do need to before spouting hit piece sound bites

Really?

Why do people here believe young men follow him in such high numbers?

For the same reason they followed Hitler in the 1930s. Or Charles Manson in the 1960s. A charismatic man offers disillusioned young men a vision of an alternative life, one in which they can be successful and rich. And they buy it. It’s a tale as old as time. On a smaller scale, it’s exactly how gang leaders operate when recruiting teenagers.

And if you tell them they’re being exploited and the charismatic man has his own interests at heart and not theirs, they double down because you are part of the conspiracy against them. The only real defence against it is the robust defence system which is created by a stable home, loving family, hobbies and a sense of life purpose. Unfortunately not all teenage boys have all those, so they’re vulnerable to anyone who offers them an alternative.

Why do people here believe young men follow him in such high numbers?

The same reason so many people follow Trump. They're irrational, full of unreasoning anger, low in critical thinking ability, therefore they are ripe for the picking for con artists of that sort.

Nice try making an appeal to popularity. Not a valid argument.

There's you, with egg on your face. You don't even know the basic facts.

This is what they are charged with:

Romanian prosecutors have charged the Tates, along with two female defendants, of sexually exploiting seven women as models for an erotic webcam business. The prosecution alleges the Tates recruited the women under false pretenses by pretending they were in love with them, and then coercing them through a mixture of intimidation and emotional manipulation into working while the Tates and their associates took most of the earnings.
Central to the case are allegations involving three women one American, one Moldovan and one British whom the Tates are accused of luring to Romania and exploiting them on webcam. Prosecutors also allege the Tates recruited four women inside Romania also by deceiving them into believing they were in a relationship.

He has not been charged with rape.

I am not defending him, I don’t like him, but he hasn’t actually been charged with rape

Well hello there.
You think it's weird to take in information, process it and draw conclusions from it?

Now I'm confused. Is there some other way to get information and analyse it to draw conclusions from it?

Smell perhaps?

Interpretive dance?

RosaRoja · 25/06/2024 07:16

@hamstersarse as it happens, I do have a son in his 20s who tells me about AT. My son is not a conspiracy nutter and he has a proper job, not pimping. The matrix, fucking hell.

How is this discussion happening on the feminist board? I know the guardian often gets a kicking, as does anything “woke”, but this is another level entirely. I don’t follow enough to know if the PPs are regular but, by gum. I’m off to work.

You said he has not been accused of it. He has. Trafficking does not happen without rape. Rape cases rarely get charged, so it's not surprising they didn't follow through.

You 100% have been defending him, so just stop with the disclaimers. Your posts, even with talk of the matrix and such, are failing to entertain me, so goodnight.

Exactly, I thought we were proud of our critical thinking here on FWR and didn't just lap up whatever the MSM try and feed us.

If only the world's greatest information resource was at your fingertips, you'd be able to see for yourself that what I wrote is true. Not only that, the Police in Bedfordshire have an international arrest warrant for him, for sexual violence and rape.

If you want to stick your head in the sand, it's not my problem.

AgnesX · 25/06/2024 07:29

Farage is a fascist. With a hefty dose of entitlement thrown in and now misogyny. The problem is that for many people (the ones who are stupid, incapable of critical thought, the bigoted and the deluded) he's extremely plausible.

🙄

ArabellaScott · 25/06/2024 07:32

TempestTost · 25/06/2024 01:06

I think I might like to see the whole interview without the Guardian quoting bits and pieces.

It seems that to some extent he's talking about why he thinks Tate resonated with so many young men, and I am not convinced the GUardian isn't parsing his statements to make them look worse than they are. And it seems pretty clear he doesn't think he's overall a great example or role model.

The problem I suppose is that I don't trust the Guardian. I remember a few years ago the complete hatchet job they did on Jordan Peterson, and they haven't exactly been a great example of honesty in general lately.

Exactly all of that.

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 07:32

I agree with the posters (or poster who keeps name changing) that it's important to analyse Tate and all he stood for, and what boys were / are getting from him.

I hope they conclude what young men (and their parents) are missing from their lives and education that they treat a self serving manipulative narcissist as if he's the messiah.

Men need to do the work though; women are working round the clock to do this for girls.

NashvilleQueen · 25/06/2024 07:32

There are hundreds of articles but I went with Fox News because I thought the BBC/Guardian/Independent/CNN might make you think Tate is being targeted by the left wing media.
