How can so many people still be in the thrall of Farage and Reform UK when harldy a day goes by without another horrifying story about Farage emerges. Now he's telling us that Andrew Tate is an important voice for men. Tate is a vile representation of the human race. who glorifies hitting and choking women. Why would any woman vote for Reform UK?

Farage said Andrew Tate was ‘important voice’ for men in podcast interview

Reform UK leader has also argued against diversity quotas and said people on benefits were ‘too stupid’ to work in appearances over past year

Well, Reform has an issue with brown muslim men coming INTO this country to sexually exploit women.
Andrew Tate is a brown muslim man who has gone OUT of this country to sexually exploit women.
So they aren't exactly being inconsistent in their beliefs.

(And for the record - I don't like white pimps/rapists, I don't like brown pimps/rapists, I don't like black pimps/rapists. I don't like muslim pimps/rapists. I don't like non-muslim pimps/rapists. I bring up Tate's religion and race because he is and because its a Reform talking point).

I agree with the posters (or poster who keeps name changing) that it's important to analyse Tate and all he stood for, and what boys were / are getting from him.

I hope they conclude what young men (and their parents) are missing from their lives and education that they treat a self serving manipulative narcissist as if he's the messiah.

Men need to do the work though; women are working round the clock to do this for girls.

And here's what farage said:

"He's got a massive following which shows you how big the gap is."

(Paraphrase) Said some dodgy stuff and is facing allegations, but massive following.

"Shows you how big the gap is."

Actually I think Tate shows how much boys succumb to online influence and harms. Visual advertising, influencers. The girls are all getting fillers and the boys are into Tate.

There's a reason this kind of thing is included under Prevent.

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 07:45

I don't understand why a woman would want their son to celebrate and follow a man who "force(es) women into porn" (as per @NashvilleQueen's article.)

Apart from the obvious harm to women, they're putting themselves in a situation whereby women will run a mile from someone who celebrates Tate.

Tate is ultimately making incels.

I was going to say something similar. Tate converted to Islam it seems predominantly because of his views on women as his lifestyle hasn't changed. I thought Farage didn't like Muslims.

I think I might like to see the whole interview without the Guardian quoting bits and pieces.

It seems that to some extent he's talking about why he thinks Tate resonated with so many young men, and I am not convinced the GUardian isn't parsing his statements to make them look worse than they are. And it seems pretty clear he doesn't think he's overall a great example or role model.

The problem I suppose is that I don't trust the Guardian. I remember a few years ago the complete hatchet job they did on Jordan Peterson, and they haven't exactly been a great example of honesty in general lately.

We know Farage is a misogynist, and have known it for some time. It's virtually inevitable that he will have a lot in common with Tate. Therefore I would give this report a high level of credence.

I’m voting for him.
I’m fed up of the current situation and Kier offers no interesting / creative alternative

A woman (presumably) voting for a misogynist supporting an extreme misogynist? Brava. 🤦🏼‍♀️

LadyMuckRake · 25/06/2024 07:56

Wow, how disappointing.

Men need a voice for their entitlement to use/abuse/dominate women like a resource to be plundered - good grief.

Why do men need that voice ?
It's depressing.

That's what he said on the video. But the video is asking him about other things he has said about Tate. Those comments seem to be various and across a number of podcasts.

WarriorN · 25/06/2024 08:05

Thanks @NashvilleQueen, for some reason I can't open the guardian article.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

SilverBranchGoldenPears · 25/06/2024 08:06

Yeah cos men need a voice.

JFC.

Really?

"Tate was indicted in June along with his brother Tristan and two Romanian citizens on charges of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women"

There's you, with egg on your face. You don't even know the basic facts.

I’m not going to get education via CNN am I?
jeez

ForKeenDeer · 25/06/2024 08:11

I'm sickened so many are turning to this man as a voice of a reason! God help us. Andrew Tate is absolutely vile

Can you provide examples of where Farage dislikes or despises women?

Stop getting your information from The Guardian and the BBC.

What unbiased sources would you like us to get our information from?

Tell you what stinks @Creamcakes99, the very notion that Tate is any kind of good influence on boys. I really hope you don't have sons if Tate and Farage are your examples of moral direction.

Leaving aside the extremely serious allegations of rape, exploitation and money laundering, he's a repugnant example of everything that is wrong with toxic masculinity. Trading on some notion that being wealthy but also a controlling prick to women is some kind of life goal. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Also your vague list of things you like about Reform is based on Nigel's greatest bullshit hits. Most of them aren't actually accurate and none of them would he do anything to change. He's a con man. You're a fool. And a misogynist.

allegations ?
he was arrested 9 years ago
his accusers remain anonymous
its stinks

May not be a woman.

But of course, some women do sadly internalise the misogyny. And to be fair, the poster in question clearly isn't the sharpest tool in the box.
