The new Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has just announced a ban on ads that ‘demean’ women and encourage them to conform to unrealistic or unhealthy body shapes. It’s a bold move that may impact on the income generated by Transport for London, which runs the Tubes and buses.

when talking about the "beach-ready body" ad. Which wasn't great, of course. But which is worse, Sadiq? As PP say, this is bodily mutilation.

Can quite make out from the photo, but is the bill board specifically from the Mayor with "support" from the names underneath.

I really hate Khan and so hoped he’d be voted out. The man is a raging narcissist with even the NYE fireworks ‘branded’ for the first time ever last year. His virtue signalling is another symptom of his narcism. He must also be a raging misogynist. Why a mutilated TIF and not a biologically intact TIM?

He, along with the rest of the absolutely gone insane world make me feel like I’m fighting on so many fronts to protect my DD from hating her body and thinking mutilation is the answer. I feel equally enraged and despairing.

That was the point of my post. The pictures used in the hype about the campaign a in fact a bit boring and samey, all the gloomy background and leather jackets. Honestly

And then the one we are discussing, which isn't about being in a relationship - unless you are having a relationship with your body and want to expose that to the public.

Seems to me that they perfectly well know that the one with the woman showing her chest would cause a fuss. Almost like they wanted it.
