I wish Rosie were my MP

BeaFuddled · 08/06/2024 08:46

I wish she were PM

Ofcourseshecan · 08/06/2024 08:50

I wish both those things!

FiFiDaloreCake · 08/06/2024 08:50

Brilliant article well done Rosie it's completely right what she says let trans people live their lives but don't then become a FTSE 100 CEO and record it as a woman or win an award as a woman or come into women's only spaces

She's quite scathing on labour/keir as a whole
Jobs for the boys....
Those colleagues who will simply toe the line whatever it may be...

Datun · 08/06/2024 08:56

Oh that's rather damning. Especially in light of women are the majority of the country, the bulk of Labour members and activists and donors.

How bloody frustrating for these women

She said this was reflected in the “incredibly uncomfortable” move to Labour resembling a “boys’ club” with a seemingly constant stream of announcements of loyal male candidates.

She's good friends with JKR and Kemi Badenoch. What a party that would be!

Oh, god, yes! A coalition for women!

Absolutely dreading this lot coming to power. They seem to have more than agreed with the TRAs in the Conservative party because if they hadn't, they'd have done their jobs as the Opposition. How they treat Rosie is, I fear, instructive.

BezMills · 08/06/2024 10:35

I don't trust Labour's leadership team on this at all. The women who do the bulk of the work, including volunteers who spend their precious spare time promoting the party online, are being taken for a ride.

fromorbit · 08/06/2024 12:39

TRAs are protesting Rosie's launch tomorrow so if you can get down to offer support please do. She will have Police protection.

Also she has a crowdfunder to pay for her campaign. It would mess the TRAs up if she increases her majority.

Yep.

Authoritarianism, righteousness, mendacity, and sexism. I'm genuinely scared of what Labour are going to do to women's rights.

BezMills · 08/06/2024 14:20

I'm worried that TRAs will affect the labour turnout. Does anyone know someone that's really good at going on the Internets to promote labour? Maybe they could go on the TRA reddits etc and help the cause.
